Our culture is summarized in 11 Distinguishing Traits that differentiate us from the crowd. They are the traits that represent “who we are” both as individuals and as a team. We hunt for employees and clients with these traits. We want to work with others having similar ideals and expectations. Why work just for the sake of working?
These 11 traits set the standard for quality and excellence that is common to all our employees and has come to be expected by our clients. We encourage you to learn about each trait and to discover the 11 unique qualities that place Patrick in a league of its own. Refer to the JOIN tab for additional information on our Distinguishing Traits.
These traits show themselves in the daily life of a Patrick employee. Whether it is formal training, challenging work assignments, or staff events, there are opportunities for all employees to grow and advance in their chosen profession. A few examples of opportunities our employees participate in include:
* Project Management Training – offered to employees having an interest in project management, allowing them to obtain initial instruction on managing projects and learning the Patrick project management processes.
* Young Professional Group – formed and governed by Patrick’s young professionals, this group plans and attends monthly functions ranging from project site visits to social functions.
* Patrick Presentation Series – monthly presentations by Patrick staff on projects and other relevant topics. This series provides a format for employees to present information on their projects as well as encourages them to improve their presentation skills.
* Professional Organizations – Patrick supports employee participation in professional organizations, including AREMA, ASCE, DBIA, and NSPE. We believe that active employees will help advance the profession and Patrick’s stature.
